Coalition for Cannabis Policy, Education, and Regulation and Resource Innovation Institute to Host Virtual Roundtable on A Framework for Federal Cannabis Regulation: Environmental & Energy Factors for a Sustainable Cannabis Industry
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Coalition for Cannabis Policy, Education, and Regulation’s Center of Excellence will host a virtual roundtable discussion with the Resource Innovation Institute entitled “A Framework for Federal Cannabis Regulation: Environmental & Energy Factors for a Sustainable Cannabis Industry.” The roundtable, moderated by CPEAR’s Executive Director, Andrew Freedman, will feature some of the cannabis industry’s leading experts on energy and environment policy, discussing best practices on minimizing the damage to the environment from cannabis growing and creating a regulatory structure that is sustainable and environmentally preferable. The 60-minute roundtable will also cover:
- State and federal energy and climate policy
- Recent actions taken by states to address cannabis energy and environmental issues
- Federal cannabis regulation
Following the discussion, panelists will take questions from the audience and members of the press. To be considered, questions for the Q&A segment must be submitted by Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Please send all questions to Chanse Jones.
